Self Portraits

Self Portrait #1
The reason that i picked this image out of the 100 pictures that i was offered, was because it is so simple when it comes to the colour and affects, but also gives it a impact to the viewers eyes, and that is why I picked the photo.
 Self Portrait #2
The reason why I picked this picture was because of the vibrant colours that have been used in this picture. Another great reason why I picked this image was because the focal point of the picture was on the flash, but the first thing that my eye was drawn to was the person himself and where he was looking (The Focal point)
 Self Portrait #3
The reason why I picked this image was because of the persons eyes mostly. The texture that is being used is so vibrant and makes the colours pop out. The other great thing about this photo, from what I can see here, the person that took the shot did not use a substantial amount of editing.

Tilt Shift Photography

Tilt Shift 1
Tilt Shift 2
Tilt Shift 3

After going out to shoot my pictures, I brought up my images onto Photoshop so I can start to create my Tilt Shift images. While doing this, I unlocked the original photo layer simply by pressing (Command: Q) after that, I clicked on the gradient tool, and by clicking and dragging the mouse, I was able to choose the focus area where I would like it to be. when I was happy with the area that was selected, I then again pressed (Command: Q) and selected everything else that was around the main focus area. I then clicked on and selected Gaussian blur and was able to blur the parts of the photo that was not the focus area and when I was happy with that, I simply pressed (Command: D) then it de-selected. after I was done with that, I clicked on "Hue and Saturation" and was able to make the colours in the image to pop out more and give it a much better affect then a stock picture. That, is how my tilt shift picture was made.
